Postmaster

Terms of Service

Last updated October 3, 2026

These terms apply to your use of the Postmaster app for macOS and this website. By downloading or using Postmaster, you agree to them.

The app

Postmaster is a free email client that runs on your Mac and connects directly to the email accounts you add. You may download and use it for free, but you may not sell, redistribute or modify it.

Your accounts

You are responsible for the email accounts you add to Postmaster and for the messages you send with it. Your use of each email service, including Gmail, remains subject to that provider’s own terms and policies. Postmaster acts only on your instructions and does not give anyone else access to your accounts.

Acceptable use

Do not use Postmaster to send spam or unsolicited bulk email, to access accounts you are not authorized to use, to distribute malware, or for any unlawful purpose.

Privacy

How Postmaster handles your data is described in the Privacy Policy.

Third-party services

Postmaster connects to services that we don’t operate, such as Google, Microsoft, Apple and other email providers. We are not responsible for their availability, content or practices.

Disclaimer

Postmaster is under active development and is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don’t guarantee that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that it will never lose, alter or misdeliver email. Keep your own backups of important mail.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of or inability to use Postmaster.

Changes

These terms may be updated from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new date, and continuing to use Postmaster means you accept it.
